Directions

For each 4-serving appetizer: Arrange 3 oz. (85 g) tortilla chips on large platter.

Microwave 3/4 cup (175 mL) Velveeta and 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) milk on MEDIUM 2 to 4 min. or until completely melted, stirring halfway. Stir until sauce is well blended.

Spoon 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) heated chili evenly over chips. Top with Velveeta sauce, 1 cup (250 mL) lettuce, 1/2 cup (125 mL) tomatoes and 1/4 cup (50 mL) scallions. Serve immediately.

Special Extra
For more heat, serve with chopped jalapeño peppers or hot pepper sauce on the side. Sour cream, salsa and chopped avocados also make tasty optional garnishes.
Variation
For Vegetarian Nachos, prepare using meatless chili.
