French bread, thinly sliced into 5-inch-long diagonal pieces 1 oz. [30 g] 2 slices
Kraft Provolone Slices 1 oz. [30 g] 2 slices
Kale Salad
kale, chopped 2 oz. [60 g] 2 cups [500 mL]
watercress, picked 6 g 1/4 cup [50 mL]
Diced ham, sauteed 23 g 2 Tbsp. [30 mL]
tomatoes, diced 23 g 2 Tbsp. [30 mL]
scallions, chopped 8.5 g 2 Tbsp. [30 mL]
pepperoncini peppers, diced 6 g 1 Tbsp. [15 mL]
capers 3 g 1 tsp. [5 mL]
Pure Kraft Refrigerated Ranch Dressing 1 oz. [30 g] 2 Tbsp. [30 mL]

Directions

Mix butter and garlic; spread onto bread slices. Place on parchment paper-lined sheet pans.

Bake in 350ºF (180ºC) standard oven 15 min. or until golden brown and toasted.

For each serving: Top 2 crostini with 2 cheese slices. Broil until cheese is melted and lightly browned.

Combine 2 cups (500 mL) kale, 1/4 cup (50 mL) watercress, 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) each ham, tomatoes and scallions, 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) peppers, 1 tsp. (5 mL) capers and 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) dressing.

Serve salad on top of crostini.

Make Ahead
Crostini can be baked ahead of time. Store in airtight container up to 2 days before broiling with cheese and serving with salad.
Substitute
Substitute chopped prosciutto or bacon for the ham.
Variation
Prepare salad using other types of greens, such as baby spinach, arugula or romaine lettuce.
