French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes 10 oz. [285 g] 1-3/4 qt. [1.75 L]

Directions

Melt butter in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add apples, in batches; cook until golden brown, stirring occasionally.

Beat cream cheese product, eggs and vanilla with mixer fitted with whisk attachment until well blended. Gradually add milk and 1-3/4 cups (425 mL) maple syrup (or 7 Tbsp. [105 mL] syrup for trial recipe), stirring after each addition until well blended. Stir in bread cubes and apples; spoon into full-size hotel pan sprayed with cooking spray (or into 9-inch square pan for trial recipe).

Bake in 375ºF-standard oven 40 min. or until pudding is set in centre. Drizzle with remaining syrup. Let stand 10 min. before serving.
