Root Beer-Glazed Chicken Wings

'Cue up great flavour with lip-smacking dishes that celebrate the institution of barbecue

Canada's love affair with barbecue is as deep and complex as barbecue itself. Fire, smoke, brown sugar, oak, hickory, honey, spices, molasses—with its layers of flavour and popularity among diners, barbecue continues its reign on menus across the country.

With our extensive portfolio of barbecue sauces, the chefs at Kraft Foodservice are intimately familiar with barbecue, and are indeed its biggest fans. We pulled recipes from their recent ideation session, plus a few from our U.S. BBQ Champion Pitmasters and from the 2012 World Food Championships, which Kraft Foodservice co-sponsored. "These recipes give you a world of delicious barbecue—without taxing your prep cooks," says Barry Miles, corporate executive chef at Kraft Foodservice. "You start with a consistent, flavourful barbecue sauce and with just a few add-ins you get signature, come-back-for-more results."
