Root Beer-Glazed Chicken Wings

Ingredients

4 cups Minced shallots
1 cups Minced garlic
1 cups Butter
2 cups Root beer
1/2 cups Kraft BBQ Sauce
1 cups Ancho chile pepper powder
48 piece Chicken wings (thawed, if frozen)

Instructions

Preparation Steps
  • Saute
    Shallots and garlic in butter in medium skillet on medium heat 1 to 2 min. or until shallots are tender.
  • Deglaze
    Pan with root beer. Heat to simmering; reduce liquid by half. Stir in BarBQ Sauce and chile powder. Remove from heat.
  • For each serving:
  • Cook
    6 wings in 325ºF (160ºC) deep fryer 8 to 10 min. or until done (165ºF [74ºC]); drain.
  • Toss
    Wings with 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) prepared sauce.
