Wedge Salad

This new twist on a classic recipe uses crisp-fried prosciutto and salami in place of the traditional bacon. They add depth to the overall flavour of the salad.

Ingredients

1/4 head Iceberg lettuce heads, each cut into 4 wedges
2 cups Kraft Gourmet Blue Cheese Dressing
2 cups Roma tomatoes, seeded, finely diced
2 cups Small croutons
1 cups Thinly sliced prosciutto, fried crisp, chopped
1 cups Thinly sliced salami, fried crisp, chopped
1 cups Finely chopped fresh basil

Instructions

Preparation Steps
  • For each salad:
  • Place
    1 lettuce wedge on serving plate.
  • Pour
    1 oz. (30 g) dressing over center of lettuce. Sprinkle with 1 oz. (30 g) tomatoes, 1/2 oz. (15 g) croutons, 1/4 oz. (7 g) each prosciutto and salami, and 1 tsp. (5 mL) basil.
